Day 8 with Mom/Gram: Bon Voyage!

Having my mom come to visit was so special! There was something about having her visit that was very satisfying for Dan and me, something about showing someone we love the life that we've created for ourselves here. 

Thursday morning was very relaxed--packing, my good friend Ansuné stopped by with her daughter Sofia to meet my mom, and regular old hanging out with the boys. We lunched in town at Basic Bistro, packed more, drank more tea, and then off we headed to Cape Town International Airport around 5pm.

At first I thought Dan would have to take my mom alone due to fitting bags in the car, but he worked his magic and we all came along for the ride!
