I realize that you may not like having your Google Reader or Blogger inbox inundated with Auggie's Duplo airplanes, however, I'm not posting these for anyone else so much as I am posting these for Auggie when he gets older. His airplane building is simply prolific and I want him to see just how creative he was from the beginning through this log of planes.
Yaka Plane
I'm not entirely sure where this name came from, but when I asked Auggie how to spell the name he gave me a long string of letters including THIJKLMOPW and so on. So we'll just stick with Yaka Plane.
The Yaka Plane is different from his others in that while it's build is symmetrical, it's colors are not. It is also a very flat, squat plane.
I believe that the Yaka Plane can fly near volcanoes without having it's engines damaged by volcanic ash. A book we have checked out from the library has an image of a volcano in it, which in turn led to a YouTube, Wikipedia, and Google Image exploration of volcanoes this morning. I love Auggie's curiosity!
| "Mama, don't take a picture yet. It needs more engines." |
| "There we go!" |
