Springtime in Albuquerque! ... Or perhaps I'm speaking too early, but we had our first 60˚ day yesterday, and it's currently 55˚ right now. The sun is shining!!
This weekend we had a great time exploring some wilderness areas west of Santa Fe, and we found a wicked-awesome climbing spot called Diablo Canyon. The only drawback was that we got there right around sunset, but no-doubt we will be back. There was a point at which the sky just lit up - amazing! I tried to capture it with my iPhone:
Yesterday I hung my first load of laundry out to dry, and today I hung out the season's first load of diapers:
Thank you Albuquerque for bringing springtime in March.
In other news, Auggie's vocabulary continues to develop. Here are his new words:
- Food: F'oooo... (oh-sound trails off)
- Cracker: Kah-ka
- Socks: s'Ocks (now uses this word quite regularly)
Auggie had his first dentist appointment today, and thus now starts his life-long course of visits every 6 months. His pediatrician had recommended seeing the dentist due to some enamel chipping on his front teeth. (He used to click his teeth together a lot when he first got them.) The dentist was great and even got to look at his teeth without too much crying. But get this, he recommends that we start flossing Auggie's teeth daily, along with the obvious brushing. Yikes! Hopefully Auggie will turn out like Dan, who flosses religiously. I, on the other hand, floss for two weeks prior to any dentist appointment, and that's about it. I need to shape up to be a good example for this little guy!
Here are some cute Auggie pics from a great visit we had with my parents a week and a half ago:

Yay! But jealous about the weather...! Love you! :) af
Beautiful sunset photos!
Wow,flossing for Auggie! (I think you take after me with the flossing.) I had a dentist appointment Wednesday for cleaning - "How many times a week do you floss?" asked the hygienist. "Not enough" I replied. : )
Have a wonderful weekend with Uncle John and Aunt Elaine!
