We have all kinds of funny things happen now that Auggie is getting older. For one, the other morning I came in to his room to get him, just as he announced "poopf!" And sure enough, he had poop in his diaper.
Another morning I came in to find him with the green and blue plastic stacking rings around his legs. Teeheehee... (Once I came in to get him from a nap and he had three stacked around one arm as he slept.) Btw, I usually leave toys in Auggie's crib when he goes to sleep at night so that he's entertained as he wakes up and not immediately screaming for me to get him. It's a strategy that works quite well.
Hugs
Auggie loves hugging things, including all stuffed animals, blankets, and pillows. One afternoon Auggie trailed around with a blanket, brought it into the kitchen, and "huhh"-ed it.
Dog Food
I've never been one to refer to a dog as a 'dumb dog'. It's just not nice, and in generally I think that dogs are exceptionally smart–especially mine. Until, of course, I bought Stella a new toy. It's a ball that you put food or treats in and then your dog can paw it around to get the treats out. Stella looked absolutely confounded at it, would not even attempt to get the kibble she could see out, and walked away. Thankfully Auggie came to her rescue, although he got into hoarding the kibble himself. A couple of days after taking these photos we had Stella's toy out again. I quickly discovered that Auggie had dog food in his mouth. Not only that, he didn't seem to be disgusted in the slightest bit. Good thing we feed Stella high quality food, but still - yuck!
Climbing with Daddy
As most of you know, Dan loves climbing. And as most of you can probably imagine, Albuquerque is surrounded by great climbing spots. Here we are at a place called Big Box on the east side of the mountains. Auggie loves climbing (or attempting to climb), too. In the video (that should be below–arrgh! does anyone know what happened to the upload video link in Blogger?!?!?!) he also was able to enjoy the abundance of mud from all the snow-melt on the east side. We knew he'd want to get into it, so we decided to allow it and made sure he was dressed appropriately in boots and snow pants. Boys will be boys! Here's Auggie and Daddy climbing together:

Glad to see you are introducing Auggie to the IMPORTANT childhood items such as the Ghostbusters tee (in the previous post) and the Ugly Dolls in the crib!
Haha... I saw the Ghostbusters tee at Target last year and couldn't pass it up. But most of our essentials (Ugly Dolls, etc) were gifts, which is pretty awesome. You'll soon find that out. :)
Gorgeous photos at white sands!
