I wouldn't mind it so badly if we were childless, or at least more on top of Auggie's bedtime. But as of late bedtime has been slowly inching from 7pm to 8pm; translation: 9pm on March 14. Dan and I adore our child, but as anyone can understand, we need time without him for sanity's sake.
So I've devised a plan. It involves adjusting first and foremost waking time (the hardest part for me because I need to be out of bed for it to work), and then consequently naptime and bedtime. (Hmmm.. Blogger doesn't seem to have a table function. I'm going to give my HTML judo a whirl and see if I can make one anyway..)
| Day of Week | Wake Time (actual) | Nap Time (actual) | Bed Time (actual) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | 7:40am | 1:30pm | 7:30pm |
| Tuesday | 7:30am (7:10am*) | 1:15pm (12:15pm*) | 7:20pm (6:40pm*) |
| Wednesday | 7:30am (7:30am) | 1:00pm (1:00pm) | 7:10pm (6:45pm) |
| Thursday | 7:20am (7:20am) | 12:50pm (12:45pm) | 7:00pm (7:30pm) |
| Friday | 7:20am (7:20am) | 12:40pm (12:40pm) | 6:50pm (7:30pm) |
| Saturday | 7:10am (7:10am) | 12:30pm (scattered napping in bike trailer) | 6:40pm (7:30pm) |
| Sunday (new time) | 8:00am (8:10am) | 1:30pm (1:05pm) | 7:30pm |
Looking at this realistically, I obviously have high hopes for keeping waking time relatively nice for myself while getting bedtime back to a somewhat reasonable hour. This may be tricky, and I'm guessing I'll need to somehow do a trade-off to keep either (a) naptime long, or (b) waketime late. The question is which works better for me....? :)
*Tuesday note: Auggie has a runny nose/cough combo and was up bright and early due to coughing. Poor guy. He also nearly passed out in the kitchen around noon–thus the early nap time. Colds are no fun, but I suppose this one is helping with our transition.
