Our stay in LA was wondeful and we're very much missing our friend Tim. (Hi Tim!!!) We enjoyed the running water and other conveniences of modern life. And Auggie enjoys his new Karl Marx doll:

Here's Auggie with Tim:

Saturday morning we headed to Joshua Tree National Park and it was HOT.

We waited in our tent until late afternoon to hike, but even then the sun was ridiculous. The decision to head east to Phoenix was an easy one. :)
We're in a holding pattern waiting at my parents' condo to close on our house in Albuquerque next Monday or Tuesday. And we are once again so thankful for running water, electricity, and TVs and DVD players! (Dan's watching Hooisers while I write this post.)
We woke up early yesterday to hike before it got too hot, but we didn't get up early enough.

Auggie has been enjoying the freedom the condo brings. He gets to crawl again, and practice walking. He loves crawling in and out of a set of empty cabinets. And, I forgot to mention - he got his sixth tooth last Tuesday! The fourth one on the bottom. And now he's working on the two on either side of his two front teeth. They're puffy and look like they're hurting but still have some time to go. I got out his amber teething necklace again and I think it's helping.
And... What to do today? Auggie's napping... And we don't know yet. Personally, I'm enjoying the luxury of boredom. :)

Oh sweet pictures! I'm so glad you're relaxing. The camping sounded grueling to me. It would have stressed my stressors. : ) But you guys are terrific with hiking, climbing, tenting, and loving your baby boy!
