He's currently whining in the backseat since we're on the last leg of our journey - to Albuquerque. After having a week off from sitting in his carseat for hours a day he wasn't prepared for another long drive.. But he'll survive.
Two days ago Dan and I noticed that Auggie got his 7th tooth! It's on the top, to the right of the front two. His teeth are so cute.. He clearly has to grow into them as they are way too big for his little mouth. :)
Kiddo learned how to wave just yesterday! His Uncle Paul came over after work and we had Auggie wave goodbye when he went to bed, but this time he flapped his hand up and down on his own. I think this new skill is directly related to Auggie learning how to splash water at the pool. We had swam and practiced slapping the water only a couple of hours before. Although he did half wave at a nice woman waiting in line wih us at Macy's.. Hard to say..
I've been meaning to mention for a while now that Auggie definitely favors his right had when doing things. It's been clear for several months. He's almost a perfect shot with O's when feeding himself, while he's about 50/50 with his left hand. Funny how that works.
Auggie is very close to walking. He's stood up without holding onto something more than a few times now. And he's great at walking if he can hold onto something. Staying at my parents' condo was a much needed time for Auggie to practice getting around. He loved playing in some empty cabinets:

He also does this funky crawl where he walks with his legs straight but is bent over with his hands on the floor. Dan's mom says it's the same crawl Dan used to do at the beach when he was little. Apparently he didn't like the way the sand felt on his legs. :)
Auggie continues to vocalize wonderfully. I'm looking forward to words!
...
On a different note, we will do our last walk-through of our Albuquerque home this afternoon, and we plan to close tomorrow at 2:30pm. It will be *so nice* to get the keys on Tuesday. (In NM buyers don't get posession right away.) We can't wait!
