Auggie vs. Wild (aka Auggie's 3rd Birthday)

Birthday Boy!
Auggie is 3!!!!

Opening Presents
Very exciting for a 3-year-old!
The selection
Yippee!
Spectators
The first gift - a small red package with blue ribbon
A train!
More trains!

Opening presents took all of Auggie's focus. Getting him to smile for the camera was a bit overwhelming. Believe me, he was thrilled. :)
He was so happy that he couldn't even smile–seriously!
Notice Eland getting in on the action.
A $20 bill, whoohoo!!
A fishing game! (Auggie came in my room this morning with the fishing pole attached to the turtle. He's pretty into it. ;)
What's this with the bow?
Ooooooo!
A bike!!!
Eland is wondering when he'll get to inherit it.
Thank you to everyone who sent gifts!! Auggie now has a fantastic Thomas the Train collection, and he loves everything he got! (You will get your thank you notes -- eventually!)

The Party!

Getting ready to sing Happy Birthday
Candles are lit
Happy Birthday To Auuuuu-ggieeeeeee!
Okay, blow out the candles!
It took him a few tries, but Auggie blew the candles out all on his own
Mmmmm dirt!
Eland chillin' with Chelle
Chelle, Eland, and Pat
Friends, neighbors, and Kendra and Micah smiling for the camera. :)
Friends liked the cake
The crowd at large
Beautiful Adelaide wanted her picture taken...
Several times! (And I was happy to do it!)
Carrie and 8-week-old Wyatt
Auggie, Hadley, and Adelaide
Big boys Adrian and Asher
Attack of bubbles!
Eland was delighted to have our friends over...
And to walk around with a "bahhhh!"
It was a delightful evening celebrating This Guy!
Happy 3rd Birthday, Auggie!

*Note: Yes, Eland did turn 1 this July and I still do owe him a birthday post. The catch is that we had his party in Chicago, so I didn't have any family begging me to post pictures. ;)
