It's a Girl!

Auggie's very first cousin was born today at 2:41pm central time! (1:41pm in Albuquerque.) And she's a GIRL!!! We couldn't be happier for my sister Alisa and her hubby Dave! ... And that's all I know!

Alisa's bag of waters had broken early Monday morning around 2:40am, about 3 weeks before her due-date of October 10. We had all been praying ever since that labor would start up on its own. Alisa experienced mild contractions on and off, but no active labor. After more than 24 hours of waiting for labor, she indulged in some castor oil and chocolate ice cream this morning around 10:15am.. Looks like it worked!!! :D God definitely answered our prayers!!

...

EDIT: Her name is Anna Grace!!!

It's really amazing how it worked out - Alisa's labor was just like mine, with the last minute run to the hospital and all! She had inconsistent contractions, and then all of the sudden she and Dave could literally see Anna's bag of waters and head. Rush to the hospital, and viola - baby within 20 minutes! Bizarre! ... I will be praying that labor for you and Caden is smooth and easy!
