Auggie crawls like you wouldn't believe, his strength is impressive, he recently learned how to walk with assistance, his curiosity is astounding, and his courage is awe-inspiring. He eats almost anything - applesauce, pearsauce, bananas, yogurt, spinach (!), carrots, sweet potatoes - although he despises peas. It's actually kind of hilarious, he does this awful gag-thing and writhes in disgust anytime we feed him peas. Unfortuantely I cooked up a whole bunch and now have an ice cube tray's worth in the deep freezer, so he'll just have to deal with a pea-feeding attempt here and there. He recently tried corn, too. Next up: tofu and egg yolks.
Augs hearts swimming.
And the beach. And the sun. He is clearly a product of both sides of our sun-loving families.
Auggie loves iguanas.
And Auggie loves hermet crabs.
Okay, maybe a little too much.
Auggie loves diving hoods. (Umm, can you tell he was hanging out with Dan and Gramps?)
On sleeping.
Auggie does not love sleeping.
I think this may be the main reason why I haven't been posting much lately. I have no energy due to Little Man walking up constantly. It's incredibly draining.
I'm sure it's the teeth. His front two are this close to cutting, and it seems like instead of cutting they're waiting now for his bottom teeth to catch up. Maybe they'll all cut together. Delightful. Did I say delightful? I think I meant DREADFUL.
To help communicate my own misery due to Auggie's misery, I mentally wrote a blog post titled "Sleeping. WTF." which included ranting about 2-hour blocks of time in the middle of the night when I simply lost time. Yeah. All gone. (Btw, Mom, if you don't know what WTF stands for, please don't bother looking it up. Wink wink.)
Honestly, all sarcasm aside, I just feel really bad for the little bugger. Teething must be painful and he seems so miserable at night. I am praying that he cuts his teeth soon and that we can all get a good night's sleep afterward. (And that he doesn't bite post-teeth-cutting!) Maybe it's a good thing that God doesn't let us remember things before the age of 3. Teething would be one awful memory.

Great photos, val!
Congrats on little man climbing the stairs...I can't believe how big he's getting.
The photo with the dive cap on made me laugh! It's hysterical! So Dan and Gramps did that, huh? : )
Auggie was fabulous on the flights and on vacation. Probably your camping expeditions prepared him. : )
