Auggie, Eland, and Adventures with Dan

Dan and the boys have been having some pretty awesome adventures lately..

IGLOO BUILDING
We've only gotten snow a couple of times this winter, and just recently one of those times included a huge dump--but with temperatures only just below freezing. The snow was perfect packing snow, and the boys had been asking about building an igloo all winter..

I'm pretty sure Dan did the majority of the work..
But I'm sure he enjoyed it just as much as Auggie and Eland
Cookie break!
Hot cocoa and cookies in the finished igloo!
Griffin got his daddy time inside

THE GREAT LEGO BUILDATHON
We have mountains of Legos! From birthdays, Christmas, and just-because; we probably own thousands. (They are small, you know..) Our Legos have been a serious mess recently, so we decided to sort them all and build every set we have until we've used all the Legos and know which ones are missing. It started with quite some excitement, and is still going on as I type. The boys are very enthused, and Dan and I feel the same way..

Can you sense the excitement?!
Still excited!!!

HAIRCUTS
Dan is our designated haircutter. I'm not opposed to doing it myself, but Dan gets creative and really styles the boys' hair. :)

CLIMB TIME
Of course the boys are climbing.. :)

AND NOT ONLY CLIMBING... RAPPELLING!!
We have a neat little dry waterfall where we can rappel within a mile of our house. Dan took the boys quite a few times last summer, but this was the first time I was able to watch from the top. I'll have to admit that as soon as I was done snapping photos I had to turn around and not look on as my husband and two oldest boys disappeared over the top of a cliff...
They were all smiles ear to ear!
Grif and I kept our composure at the top
And they're back!
Thumbs up!!
My mountain men
Every mountain man gets a candy.. ;)

ADVENTURES WITH MAMA
I have my own adventures with the boys. And while I'm not opposed to the "real" sort where you're outdoors and sweating and all, currently Mama-led adventures are often comprised of a trip to Starbucks.
Who doesn't love a petit vanilla bean scone? Not this guy!
Starbucks was apparently a great atmosphere for my sweet baby to fall asleep.
